Toast the Fall
There is a chill in the air, the leaves are starting to fall, and pumpkin flavored things are everywhere. It’s Fall! What better way to get excited about the season than with some fun new autumn-y drinks? So let’s set out that shaker, stock up on cider and get in the spirit.
Warm Washington Apple
This takes the traditional Washington apple drink and spikes in some warmth for Fall. It’s like a twist on the Hot Toddy.
1 ounce Crown Royal
¼ ounce Smirnoff Green Apple Flavored Vodka
6 ounces hot apple cider
1 slice of apple
Pour your hot apple cider in a glass. Add whiskey and vodka. Garnish with the apple slice. You can thank me later.
Cinnamon Toast
How do you spice up apple cider? Rum.
1 ¼ ounces Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
6 ounces hot apple cider
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
Mix the cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Rim your glass with it. Then pour the hot apple cider and rum in the glass. Voila! Thank you to the folks at Delish for giving us our go-to drink this Fall.
Cinnamon Caramel-Appletini
Which one of those words doesn’t sound delicious?
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce Sour Apple Schnapps
½ ounce Butterscotch Schnapps
1 slice apple
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Pour the vodka, apple and butterscotch schnapps in a shaker with ice. Shake it up. Rim a martini glass with the cinnamon. Pour alcohol into your rimmed glass and garnish with the apple slice.
