TOP 7: Things We’re Thankful For!
(Alternate grammar police title: Things for Which We Are Thankful. Take that, Mrs. Repoff, 6th grade English teacher at Our Lady’s Christian School.)
This being Thanksgiving week and all, we here at culturePOP threw together a list of things we’re particularly thankful for right this second…
1. The Pumpkin Spice Blend at 7-11!! (b/c $4.50 Starbucks lattes are for suckers)
It’s a game changer, people. We finally gave this convenience store java a try and woooohhhweee are we PUMPED (and HIGHLY caffeinated). Delish and, if you bring your own refillable cup because you’re thrifty and eco-conscious and a good person, it’s only $1.25. That’s not even real money, that’s like 5 quarters (actually, to be technical, it is exactly 5 quarters).
2. Fake mustaches are finally starting to go out of style!!? Maybe? Fingers crossed?
We get it, it’s fun and cute and hipstery and adorable, but can we just say enough to the wave of phony staches?! In the past week we’ve noticed this trend on two (let’s count this one, so make that three) different blogs’ “things we’re over” lists. This includes, but is not limited to, fake mustache tattoos on index fingers and the ubiquitous fake mustache-on-a-stick.
3. The Check Engine light in the culturePOP 2005 Toyota Corolla went off!!
This one is just for us, but it’s pretty fab right? Been on for months and for some reason, all on its own, it suddenly went off. Just goes to show you: patience works.
4. U… S… A! U… S… A!!
Oh in case you forgot, we live in the best damn country around. And for all of our foreign readers (do we have any foreign readers?), you guys should really come here for a visit! It’s a pretty kick ass place. Sure there’s traffic and no jobs and the occasional “debt crisis”, but we’re pretty sure we invented corn dogs. Point: USA.
5. Today is the day before the day before Thanksgiving!!
Hope you have your drinkin/eatin/partyin shoes on…
6. Kim Kardashian is single!!
Fellas, get on that.
7. There is no number 7!!
That’s right, just six, which means we’re done and done-er when it comes to work this week. Enjoy your Thanskgiving celebrations you adorable little culturePOPpers. When we see you next we’ll be a solid 8 pounds heavier and, most likely, still hungover.
